Long Essay Question (50 points)
Assess the current state of inequality in the United States and explain what you think should be the ideal state of affairs in regard to equality. Critically defend in light of the course materials your conception of the ideal state of affairs in regard to equality. Discuss various strategies for moving form the present to the ideal state, taking into account differences in strategies that might be required when dealing with racial and ethnic inequalities versus gender inequalities.
