Preliminary Assignment

            This is a course in social ethics, covering such topics as abortion, cloning, genetic manipulation, euthanasia, the death penalty, torture, just war, surveillance and privacy, robotic ethics, and other topics., .  Write a 2 page typed, double-spaced essay in which you describe your own interests that relate to this course and what you hope to achieve by taking the course.

            This assignment does not need to be turned in, but will be discussed in class. .
