Syllabi in Ethics
It is often helpful as well as interesting to see how other
people have structured their courses. I'll post syllabi here which may be of interest to
instructors in ethics. If you are an instructor who is teaching an ethics course and would
like a link placed here, please e-mail Larry Hinman.
Varous Types of Contemporary
Moral Issues Courses
Computer-Related Ethics
- Computer Ethics. University of Notre Dame.
Professor Robert N. Barger. This is a very well-designed, genuinely interactive
syllabus--not just a paper syllabus converted to html. It provides a nice model for how
such syllabi can be done.
- Ethics & the Internet Syllabus.
Duke University. Wendy Robinson. Nice models of various kinds of assignments.
Other Interesting Course
Syllabi
- InterQuest: Introduction to
Philosophy. A Hyper-Text Introduction to Philosophy course at Oregon State University.
Very interesting.
- Political Science. California
State University at Long Beach. Professor Larry Martinez. This is a very interesting
syllabus, and reveals some of the possibilities of setting up a learning project between
your own class and students at another university.
- Military Ethics. Carlos
Bertha, University of South Florida.
