A free, public program for the San Diego Community in collaboration with the San Diego Research Ethics Consortium which includes the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, The Scripps Research Institute, and UCSD.

Description: The purpose of this free, public conference was to promote community discussion about some of the ethical challenges associated with human embryonic stem cell research. In particular, the conference focused on oocyte and embryo donation, on the necessary milestones before the clinical testing of the safety, and efficacy of treatments with this new technology.
